Rationing of fuel has been implemented in the past, do you think fuel rationing will be put in place anytime during the next year?

it is not a supply issue! Rationing will not help. when was the last time you had to wait in long lines for gas?

No, there is no need to as long as supply is uninterrupted. Only a serious disruption of supply would warrant any kind of rationing.

It should never be used. Rationing does not spur any development of other technologies to get oil from other sources or encourage development of other forms of fuel. Open market system is the best. With high gas prices, ethanol gets cheaper. Also, with high prices, our buddies in Alberta are able to extract more oil from the tar sands. Rationing just creates long lines and very angry people. If gas spikes and there is an emergency, the president can for the short term release some oil from the strategic oil reserve.

There is no fuel shortage so No.
The reason for the high prices is market speculation and
the fear factor.

Dumb questions! What I think doesn't make any difference unless I'm a professional in the business.
